The Angel's Face head fashion designer is also the Managing Director, Keely Deininger. Whether it's a set, single item, print or pattern, Keely often comes up with a concept or visualises an idea and asks me to help bring it to life.
This is certainly not my main role at Angel's Face but these are fun projects to be involved in nevertheless, and it's super exciting to see a design that I've worked on come to life on a garment. Over the years, I've had the privilege to work on a number of garment prints and designs which were eventually put into production and sold as part of the collection.
For these projects, I normally use either the Procreate app on the iPad or Adobe Illustrator. I find that these programmes are most suitable and allow to make changes (which there are a lot of during the initial stage) easily.
Below are just some examples:
Jacket, Hat & Scarf set - we've recently produced these mockups for a varsity inspired set. We hope to receive and approve the samples from the factory shortly, if they pass quality control, they will be put into work for the AW22 collection. Created using Adobe Illustrator.
Jumper designs - the 3 below pieces are part of the Angel's Face AW21 collection. The designs were firstly drawn out by hand then digitised on Adobe Illustrator.
Swimwear - this bold, yet super pretty, pattern was created to feature on the SS18 swimwear collection. As you can see, the print was used on swimsuits, bikinis and towelling. The print proved very successful, surpassing both retail and wholesale sales expectations. Created using Adobe Illustrator.
Swimwear - we created this quatrefoil pattern for Angel's Face first ever swimwear collection back in 2017. The pattern was used on swimsuits, bikinis and towelling shorts & dresses. Created using Adobe Illustrator.
